It's Illegal to Chew Gum in Singapore!

It's Illegal to Chew Gum in Singapore! Importing, selling, or manufacturing gum in Singapore can lead you to a hefty fine and/or jail time. The only exception to this however is nicotine and dental gums that benefit individuals therapeutically. Gum substances were banned in Singapore in 1992 After vandals used chewing gum to mess with the Mass Rapid Transit System and the Housing and Development Board spent $150,000 a year to clean gum litter (Fair & Wide).
